As the unicorns danced and the flower heads bobbed up and down, to the winds powerful music, Summer sat in a deep thought. As motionless as a trance although she knew it was the real thing. She was in love. That’s what it was. Love. What a beautiful emotion. Full of care laughter and joy bonding between two people. How Romantic. Love. It was all Summer could think about since the day she left Sunnyside the place she used to call home. Of course there wasn’t any real unicorns or flowers. Summer was sitting in her mother's new and improved flat in England. How far away from Sunnyside her home, her life. Sunnyside was in California, England was on the other side of the world. All she had was love to keep her strong. The love between Summer and Cody. Cody is strong, tall athletic, sweet, cute and of course very handsome. Summer's boyfriend back home in sunny California millions of miles away from England. Of course there were many other affectionate boys that had offered to take her out on a date. Endless boys, but Summer turned down every single one because none of them were Cody. Between Cody and Summer there was a spark, a little bit of electricity. Cody and Summer were a match, Cody and Summer were one!

On the magical evening of Boxing Day Summer traveled back to California to see her father, as this was the agreement to the divorce. Summer would live with her mom but visit her father every few months for a few weeks.

She got to the airport where Jack and Jemma were waiting. Jack and Jemma were Summer's closest friends in California and she couldn’t wait to see them. They had a cup of cocoa then they grabbed Jack's car and rode back to California, Sunnyside. As soon as Summer got out the car she saw Cody. Cody, how she had missed him. But there was a girl, a girl about 16 standing beside Cody holding his hand, with her figure blending into his. No it couldn’t be.

"Summer," called Jemma anxiously, but Summer had ran. Jemma turned to Cody, her face stony, "How could you, she only just got back?" Jemma breathed loathingly.

Summer sat on her bed sobbing, crying uncontrollably, into her pillow, staring at the picture of her and Cody at the beach.

"No," she whimpered.

Jemma came in, "I’m sorry Summer, he’s been seeing Toni for a few months. After you left, he laughed said that you and he were just a teenage romance. He said that you weren't in love with him...that you just fancied him...said that he didn't, didn't." Jemma was broken off by Summer.

"He didn't...didn't love me? Oh Jemma, he was my life...he was my heart," sobbed Summer.

They sat just the two of them in a quiet room. They sat and sobbed together, they comforted one another and made each sob mean something. They were friends and they always would be.

It was 2 days after Summer had first arrived back in Sunnyside. Still the blue skies and soft wind were there, all that she had missed.

"Summer?" It was Cody. "Did you meet anyone else back in England?" His eyes were sad and lonely, his face white and clear of all emotions. "No, Cody, I had you. I did not need anyone else, but now I do...now I do." answered Summer, sadly. "Summer, you didn’t love me really, you just thought I was nice. You loved Jack really, you and he were in love. I was just your bit on the side. Toni loves me, and and..." said Cody, stopping. "Cody I do love you. I’ve always loved you. I sat on my bed in England night after night crying for you. Men called my house and I refused to go anywhere with them because I love you. Don’t you see we were something?" "But, but I thought you and Jack were together...you wrote him so many letters," said Cody. "Letters? I was bored I didn’t send you any because I couldn’t bear to, I didn’t want to cry." replied Summer. Tears were streaming down her face. "Oh God, you did, didn’t you? You loved me, and I thought you were with me to get back at Jemma and Jack." "Jemma and Jack were always together. Their bond was so special from the beginning," said Summer upset. "Summer I loved you but now I love Toni," replied Cody. "You love her?" asked Summer. Cody nodded. "Then you should be with her. I’m not always going to be here Cody, and unless you come with me to England we will not be together. I’m sorry but you’ll have to choose me or Toni. If you choose me you’ll have to come with me and if you chose Toni then you will never see or hear from me again. Goodbye Cody, because I know that you will never leave. I love you with all my heart. Don’t forget that. I will always love you, and I will always be with you in spirit. See you in heaven Cody. Goodbye, and I love you."

Summer left her heart breaking in two, and her memories left behind with Cody. Thoughts flashed through her mind like a pistol with all of her past like the bullet. Everything she decided, everything must go with me to England I must never return to Sunnyside. Summer packed up her belongings and furniture and bought a plane ticket for next Sunday. She still had old friends to see, Star, Jack and Jemma.

First she went to see Star, her old friend from way back. She lived in one of the old villas down the bank of Sunnyside’s lake. Summer knocked on the door.

"Is Star there please?" she asked, longing to see her old friend. Star came to the door, "Hello, Summer, long time no see," although she still didn’t open the door to allow Summer to go in. "Hello, Star. Can I come in?" She felt nervous and surprisingly strange. "No," Said Star. "You cant!" "Why not? Have I done something wrong?" Summer asked, hurt. "Cody’s here Summer, and your not welcome anymore," said Star, coldly. "Why not, I thought we were friends?" said Summer, upset. "My best friend does not want to see you, and neither does Cody,"” said Star. "You're, you're best friends with Toni?" asked Summer. "Yes, we have been since you left. A lot has changed, and after what you’ve put Toni through I’m not sure I like you anymore!" Summer shouted then, she shouted at Star first. "Your best mates with my ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend, now you don’t want to see me anymore, you’ve completely lost it. Toni, you're a boyfriend stealer and I hate you. You just wrap people around your little finger and Cody, well Cody I loved you, and I can never forgive you so you can all go and jump in the ocean. Goodbye!" And with that she turned on her heel and walked down the lane, cursing Toni and Star. Cody came running up behind her.

"Summer wait, wait for me," he shouted. "Go away, leave me alone," she replied. He reached her side and pulled her towards him. "I love you too Summer, and I always will," he whispered, pulling her into a hug. She buried her head in his chest, sobbing.

They left all their worries behind them. On the plane back to England Cody new that he had made the right choice. He loved Summer more than he ever knew, and Toni...well Toni, loved herself and now he realized that. He gripped Summer’s hand. He was with the woman he loved more than anything and he was on his way to a new beginning.

The lights above him flickered and a speaker was heard. "Can you please fasten your seatbelts and wait for departure from America to England. Thank you!"
