"Hi, are you going roller blading-tonight?" "No, I have too much french homework, but I am going tomorrow, do you want to come too?"
I always used to go roller-blading with my friends but now it is hard becouse I am in a completely different country and that there is no possible way of getting to the center in half an hour like I used to. Me and my family moved to Scotland over a year ago and at first I was looking forward to starting my new school, making new friends and learning the new language. I just fit into a primary 7 class for the winter and spring terms. I would be moving to a secondary school in about half a year and by then I hoped that I would make a lot of friends. I was right, my new classmates accepted me as "theirs" in no time. I even made a best friend called Nicola and my English was going fine, nothing could change this, or so I thought.
I moved into secondary school with most of my classmates, but my best friend wasn't in my class which was very upsetting. But we thought we would see each other at break time enough to stay best friends. There were four girls from my primary class but three of them were best friends and one of them seemed to have plenty of friends from other schools. If we had to sit two by two I sat with one of the three girls, but when there was three at a table I was always left out and had to sit with a boy or somebody I did not know.
I sat through these lessons thinking of meeting my best friend at lunch time.
