pretending to hold you near.
Hoping, just hoping that some day you will be back,
I don't know how much longer I can put up this act.
Everytime I try to hold your hand, you slip through
my fingers like dry warm sand.
I wish that you were here to make the hurt go away,
Hear to brush away the tears, and say "it will be okay."
It hurts so bad, why did you have to go,
I just wish that you were here to warm me from the cold.
My heart is what is broken,
But still no words have been spoken.
Do you miss me? Do you wish I was there?
Do you want me to tell you that I miss you too,
and tell you that I care.
Come back to me soon I am growing old,
Just wanting near me, to warm the cold.
