"Golden Wings", by Stephanie

bright golden wings
to fly where the sun shines bright
I should not want
those golden wings
to fly where the sun shines bright
For what reason is there
to fly to clean air
When work is needed,
in lesser places, needed
It may not be bright and beautiful
be it cold and dark as coal
The beauty of happiness
needs to be shared
If I were to earn
bright golden wings
to fly where the sun shines bright
I should not want
those golden wings
but take ones
pure and white
