"I Can't Love You Anymore", by Sylvia J.
Copyright © November 14, 2000, Age 17

Even though you are back and changed for the better
this new you doesn't seem right.

More like a servant then your ownself.
You bow for everyone.
Where did your spirit go?
The one that made me jump at your every command.
Maybe it is just me, maybe I have grown up too much for you.

I hope you understand why I am standing out here in the freezing cold, it is not to make you want me.
Don't demand me to walk in your house, because I won't.

I can read your posture baby, and I want nothing to do with that.
I simply came to say goodbye, to be able to tell myself that it is truly over.

I'm sorry baby I really tried, but sometimes it is not enough
to fill my life with empty promises.

So I am making a deal, putting my heart behind
because I can't love you anymore.

I'm tired of trying.
