the feelings that I hide,
the lines you never read.
You can see it on my face.
Inside are memories that lie
from the past I can't replace.
These memories linger and kling to me.
They won't go away.
They haunt me and taunt me day after day.
Why can't I move forward and be happier?
Today's a brand-new day.
Yesterday is over.
Even thought the pain is not.
Nothing lasts forever...I must cherish what I have.
Don't take my love for granted for soon it will be gone.
All you ever wanted from a love you thought you won.
The hurt I feel now will not disappear overnight,
but somehow, someway, everything will be alright.
No more wishing for the past, for things I can not change.
I have to face the facts now, it wasn't meant to be...
So i have to set you free.
