"Shattered Memories", by Chelsea A.
Copyright © 2000, Age 12
And the rain’s mist still rising through
While the rainbow lightens up the sky
I think of you
For I can see your figure in the ocean
As I try to hold it deep within
It shatters into tiny pieces
Then I cry for you
When I think of how it use to be
How we use to walk down this beach
For now I walk alone
Wondering why you’re not with me
Are you now loving someone else?
Like you use to loved me
Are your emotions running through her?
Like they trample through me
Will you leave her when she’s crazy in love?
Where she can’t live without you
Exactly where you left me?
I often wonder are you sensing me
While I’m standing here alone
Could you be thinking of me?
As I’m dreaming of you...
