"Words", thoughts by Amelia K. Copyright © 2001, Age 15 Swear words, are they really bad? I wont write any here in case they offend people, but why should they? They only mean the same things as other words we use every day at any time and in any place. What makes them so much worse? Some people can be so ridiculous. Words should only be offensive when used offensively. If I called you a donkey you would probably take offense, but that wouldn't make it a swear word. If we looked at all words in this manner there would be very few words left that we could actually say. So next time you hear someone swear, think about it.
