"There Was a Boy", Shellybb Copyright © 2001, Age 42 There was a little boy who thought that he was not loved. The little boy never had love from his family. He was born into a family where fighting was the norm. This little boy never smile or had hugs or even exchanged kind words with any member of his family. The little boy was always quiet when he attended class. He would listen to his teacher. The little boy never showed any behavioral problems, yet he had expressed these problems at home. One summer his parents let him participate in a sleep away camp. There at the camp he shined. Children and instructors were huggers and did not hesitate expressing pleasure of excitement in doing their activities, be it at racing or swimming. The little boy never seen this kind of thing and he wanted so much to be loved and hugged. The little boy joined in everything and became well-liked by all. He learned how to smile, and how to express himself in other ways then by being angry. When the little boy returned home he did not see negative things in his family, and over time he taught his family how to get along. He also excelled in school - he received perfect grades and was on the honor roll. This little boy became a well-loved person in his own right.
