When I look at my daughter I remember everything about her birth. I remember her weighing in at 9 pounds and 1 ounce and being so small that I cried because I thought how cruel it was to give birth to one of god's children, so small and defenseless.
It took three months in intensive care before she could come home. She still was tiny and i was scare of hurting her. My family never seen a child so small and did not help me much in my daughter beginnings.
I use the word beginnings because that was the beginning of rushing to the hospital everytime she would stop breathing or had sudden asthma attacks.
After twenty-seven stays at the hospital she finally joined the rest of the world, free of illness and just enjoyed running and playing with her friends.
In kindergarden she was discovered to be learning disabiled, but that did not stop my girl from trying very hard and moving from grade to grade, today she is a young lady of seventeen and has been mainstreamed and is in highschool doing thing highschool kids do.
Looking back on it all, I thank god and i hope that he has forgiven by now for not believing that anything is possible!
