"The Ocean and She", by Dinker Charak

"Who are you?"

"Ocean."

"Ocean?"

"You called me."

"But I was thinking of her."

"No, you were thinking of me. You called me. Your call had such pain that I had to come."

"I think there is some misunderstanding here. I called for her. I only need her. I need no ocean or any mountain."

Silence.

"Will you please leave. And leave me alone with her."

"With me actually. See, you need me. In some desperate moment you seem to have stop realizing what you need. You have this need, a very bad need. You want it and you have lost the image of it. That thing is me, I feel the need of me here."

"I saw her a year ago. I don't think she saw me. She was all I needed. Happy, content. Her eyes were pure droplets of peace. Her face gloved with divinity . Her hands held a promise of salvation. I need all these. I need everything. And in her I found everything. I need her. I feel the need. I agree I am crazy. But I know what I want. I have not lost touch with reality. And she is my reality."
"The clouds weep on my chest. The rivers bring with them the leftovers of human greed. The sun burns on me head, but still I don't run dry. The human pierce me arrows of hunger and kill my children. But did you ever hear me complain? Ask all you need and I will provide it. I am here to fulfill your need."

"When I'll throw pebbles of unrest at you, will you take them with a silent splash? Will you always be there for me? Whenever I call, will you come?"

"I drink from rivers and my thirst is never quenched. I drink all they offer me. And I have been doing so since the beginning of time. My breast are full of nourishment. All feed on me. Life took its first step in me. Now it strides on me. Yet, I am calm. I don't swallow land around me. I only sustain it. The water breeds you, the water feeds you, the water is within you. The water comes from, the water comes with me. I am all you need, I have all you need. After me you'll have no need. Come drink from me."

He looked stunned. After wanting since so long, in a sudden if someone gets what he pined for, one is not even sure if he ever even needed it. And so he took some time to grasp the reality. He slowly dispelled his doubt of Ocean not being all he wanted. Slowly, the peace of Ocean crept into him. He could feel the Goddess of Balance grip him softly. He led the Ocean to his room and they sat on the floor. He looked deep into the Ocean. He looked deep into what he was going to drown. His needs fulfilled, death was the destination. For when one has all he needs, one needs no more, one joins the God. He will be at last be with the Ocean, his God.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. He opened the door and there stood a beautiful girl. Happy, content. Her eyes were pure droplets of peace. Her face gloved with divinity. Her hands held a promise of salvation.

"Wh..o are yo..u?" he asked stammering.

"You called me..?" she replied.
