"The Adventures Of Booger and The Forgetful Butterfly", by Sandra Davis, Copyright © 1999, Age 38
It was a bright sunny day and Booger asked his Mom, "Can I go out and play?" Mom said, "Sure Booger, but don't wander away." So Booger went out to play and he heard a strange noise. It sounded like someone crying quietly not very far away. So he went to investigate this strange sound. He started to look all around. All of a sudden he saw this little butterfly with giant teardrops in its eyes. He said, "Butterfly why do you cry?" The Butterfly said, "I forgot how to fly." Booger said, "I can help you to try even though I really don't fly." The Butterfly said, "Would you really help me try even though you don't fly." Booger said, "Sure I'll be happy to try." So he put the Butterfly on his finger and said, "Move your wings back and forth as fast as can be then I'll throw you up towards this big old tree." So the Butterfly did as Booger told him to do and wouldn't you know it, away he flew. As he was flying up into the tree the Butterfly said, "Thank you Booger, for helping me."
