"Desire", by Red Copyright © 2001, Age 18
More than anything, I want to see through this foggy veil,
and see someone on the other side with a look of satisfaction.
A look they have because of me and things I've done.
I want to see past everything in front of me and move on to what's ahead.
And see loved ones all around, friends, family, and enemies alike;
Of the latter I hope there are few.
I want an attitude of respect and admiration of those around me.
not necessarily a respect for position, but a respect of their own uniqueness, an admiration for who they are in and of themselves...aside from what anyone else expects or requires.
I want to be the one to lift shadows of despair and sadness, and replace them with blankets of tranquility and smiles, that are so comfortable and warm, that the frozen chills of unhappiness are soon forgotten for always.
And the rays of sunshine that will come from the peace that's replaced the fear will bring me such a joy, that can only be described by me as nearly unbearable.
This is what I want.
I want to see through the outer layers that are first presented and move forward to what's really important, forgetting myself and whatever is nominal.
I want to see you for who you are and what makes you feel. You and I bleed the same, that most of all is what I want to realize.
I want to be one to be confided in, trusted in, and run to. I want to be there for you. This is what I want.
This is my desire.
