and its not an easy task
so patience and understanding
is all I ask
I thought it would be easy
but I guess that i was wrong
as these nicotine withdrawals
are like a real sad song
playing over and over
in my mind
saying, "Come on
just have one,
you'll be fine".
But I'll fight it every day
I'll fight it all the way
just a few more days
and I will win the battle
because much more of these
withdrawals and my head
will start to rattle
My blood pressure will rise
you'll see the rage in my eyes
and then before I know it
I'll have it under control
and I'll ease back down
and go with the flow
And when I have it licked
I will wonder why
I ever smoked to begin with
and then let out a sigh
as I will have more air
to breathe in and out
and now that i've quit smoking
I can really scream and shout!
