You asked me to write a poem
how I'd see things through your eyes
I guess I'd feel the same as you
so just listen as I try

You don't like it
when I talk to men
as you think something is going on
I hate to disappoint you
by telling you
that you are wrong

I've always gotten along
well with men
and you cannot accept that
cause you think i'm doing smething
behind your back

I have no life
and that makes me sad
I've taken the good
with the bad

I get enjoyment
from talking online
I can gripe and moan
and be told that
things will be fine

You may not like it
when I talk about us
but I'm doing nothing wrong
so why all the fuss?

You cannot close me off
to the people I talk to
why don't you start chatting
and get to know
people like I do

You may enjoy it
you may not
but why don't you at least
give it a shot

you and I are growing apart
and it looks like it could
be the end
I don't know how much more
I can give
or how much more I can bend

If we stay together
because of the kids
it can do more harm
than good

We will just become another
statistic in the game of life
we tried, we failed
not its time to move on

You will find a lady
that will treat you right
because God knows I'm not her
you deserve someone better
that enjoys the things you do
I just hope she'll love my kids
and will love you too

It may take time
this is true
I'll have a hard time
getting over you

I don't want to
bring you down any longer
without me in the picture
you will become stronger...
