"A Poem for the Broken Hearted", by Jennifer Martin Copyright © 2000, Age 20 I've been where you are I know how you feel it's a pain that goes deep it will never heal It's an open wound that never goes away it just gets less sore with each passing day I wish I could promise the pain goes away unfortunatly it doesn't when it comes, it stays You'll forget about it with each passing year but then you will remember and it will bring you to tears You'll drop to your knees and scream to the sky asking the eternal question why, God, why? You will get no answer I know this to be true because as you will do I have done too You will hear only silence and be left with your pain as the tears fall from your eyes down your face like rain.
