"The Paxel Blues," by Susan McDuffie Copyright © 2001, Age 38
I came off my Paxel
So how am I gonna cope?
When those feelings overtake me, make me feel there's no hope.
I know what I'll do...I'll go to the mall, I'll work in the yard or give my Mom a call!
I'll eat something chocolate, a whole cake or a pie.
I've done it before, I wouldn't tell you a lie.
I'll be so depressed cause my jeans just won't fit.
I'll have to wear polyester or spandex or knit.
My rear will get bigger, my thighs will explode.
My feet won't be able to bear such a load.
My kids and my friends will all call me fat.
They'll poke fun and make comments like "Would you look at that!"
I'll stay in my house to watch TV so sad.
Jerry Springer will help me not look nearly so bad.
Well life could be worse my spouse could be gay,
have an affair with my sister. That would just ruin my day.
So I'll go on with life and keep my head high.
Be drug free and happy til the day that I die.
So if I'm lyin I'm dyin on my word you can depend.
I'll never, ever take Paxel...until I get depressed again.
